Resilience Skills Training equips participants with a toolkit of practical resilience skills that are evidence-based and useful in everyday life, at work and at home. Our program is aimed at individuals interested in developing new skills and knowledge in personal resilience and wellbeing, and/or to strengthen their existing skills.
Each of the skills taught enhance an individual’s psychological resources. When practiced and used regularly, the skills increase positive mental health, helping you to feel good and function well. The techniques taught are also useful tools for when you are experiencing challenge, for instance when you are dealing with a lot of stress in your life, as they empower you to cope and thrive.
Resilience is the ability to withstand, recover, and grow in the face of stressors and changing demands – both positive and negative. Being resilient allows people to develop better coping strategies and a productive view of their current situation and their future.
This program is delivered by SAHMRI Wellbeing and Resilience Centre Instructors, who have been certified by 49North (a division of TechWerks). It is intended for individual personal development only and, due to strict licensing arrangements with 49North (a division of TechWerks), the training materials (or derivatives thereof) are not to be used to train the skills to other people or be used for commercial purposes.
